This is my first router I have ever owned so I have no frame of reference. However, this router so far has been great. I used it to make round edge spindels for my daughters bunk bed. It felt very balanced in my hands and comfortable for the 6+ hours of routing I needed to do. The speed settings go up to 6 but I only needed it at 3 to make my cuts. It has plenty of power. The directions are great and easy to understand for a complete beginner like myself. Pictures and text really help out...
